Paul Harris SC

Paul Harris SC is a barrister at Cornwall Street Chambers and an associate tenant at Doughty Street Chambers. He was founding chairman of the Bar Human Rights Committee in 1992-94. Paul practised for many years in Hong Kong, where he was Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar in 2021-22, before being forced to leave because of his opposition to the new National Security Law imposed by China. He is the author of Conflict of Laws in Hong Kong (Sweet and Maxwell Hong Kong: 2025) and Raising Freedom’s Banner (Aristotle Lane Press: 2015), a worldwide history of peaceful demonstrations.
