Aurèle Marthan returns to the Temple to perform in the young artist series joined by Charles Hervet, a rising star among the current generation of French cellists. Marthan and Hervet both graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and are accomplished soloists and chamber musicians in France and across Europe. Marthan has also studied piano and chamber music at the Higher National Conservatory of Music in Paris and at the Instituto Superiore di Cremona in Italy. Hervet’s recent highlights include his Wigmore Hall debut in 2011, collaborationwith Wolfram Christ, the Met soloists, a Proms Plus concert broadcast on BBC Radio 3, a live radio show on France Musique, and Beethoven Triple Concerto with Jan Talich, Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Andrew Litton.
