Leading drug, alcohol and DNA testing laboratory AlphaBiolabs has made a £500 donation to Beatson Cancer Charity in Glasgow as part of its Giving Back campaign
For every testing instruction received from family law and social work professionals, AlphaBiolabs enters the customer’s name into a bimonthly draw to ‘win’ a £500 donation for their preferred charity.
Gary Morton, Partner at Hamilton Ross Solicitors in Airdrie, was randomly selected in the company’s latest draw and nominated Beatson Cancer Charity – a cause close to his heart – to receive the £500 donation.
Founded in 2014, Beatson Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, with the aim of ensuring that no one faces the disease alone.
The charity also plays a vital role in supporting Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, funding life-saving research, enhancing patient care and providing comprehensive wellbeing services.
Gary said: 'I’m truly grateful to AlphaBiolabs for enabling this generous donation to Beatson Cancer Charity. The work that the Charity does is invaluable, and I’m delighted to support it in this way.'
Heilidh Wilson, Corporate Fundraiser at Beatson Cancer Charity, said: 'We are incredibly grateful to AlphaBiolabs for their generous donation and to Gary for choosing to support Beatson Cancer Charity. Donations like this allow us to continue providing essential care and services for patients and their families in the west of Scotland facing cancer. Every contribution makes a difference, and we truly appreciate this support.'
Rachel Davenport, Director at AlphaBiolabs, said: 'We’re committed to giving back to worthwhile causes that make a real difference in people’s lives. The dedication of Beatson Cancer Charity to improving cancer treatment and patient support is truly inspiring, and we’re proud that it is the recipient of our latest donation.'
The next Giving Back charity draw will take place at the end of April.
