Professor David Ormerod has been appointed as a Law Commissioner for a five-year term with effect from September.
He will succeed Professor Jeremy Horder. Prof Ormerod is Professor of Criminal Justice at the School of Law Queen Mary University of London, a practising barrister, a lecturer to the Judicial Studies Board, an author and editor of Smith & Hogan and of Blackstone’s Criminal Practice.
